In this podcast episode, get ready to be inspired as we welcome our guest, Jenn Drummond, a remarkable woman who has conquered the world’s seven-second summits and recently became a World Record Holder. But her journey goes far beyond mountaineering; it’s a testament to resilience, motivation, and the exhilaration of achievement. Her book, Breakproof: 7 Strategies to Build Resilience and Achieve Your Life Goals will be released in January 2024.
Meet Jenn Drummond
Jenn Drummond achieved business success as the founder and CEO of a thriving financial services company. Her move to Park City, Utah, with her kids, fed her family’s passion for everything outdoors. But on a snowy evening in 2018, Jenn’s life was knocked off its tracks. She was in a horrific car accident that brought her inches from death. Everyone agreed that she shouldn’t have survived, yet somehow, she did. In the aftermath, it became crystal clear to Jenn that while she cannot control when she leaves this life, she–and the rest of us–can choose how to live it.
Jenn’s confrontation with death imbued her with vigor, enthusiasm, and
commitment to full engagement in life. Now–more than ever, she is focused on becoming an inspiration, guide, and cheerleader, not just for her children, but for outdoor enthusiasts around the world. Urged on and supported by her family, Jenn has now become the first woman to climb the World’s Seven Second Summits–the second tallest mountains on every continent.
In January 2024, Jenn will be releasing her book, “Breakproof: 7 Strategies to Build Resilience and Achieve Your Life Goals,” a powerful account of her journey through triumph and resilience after surviving a near-fatal car accident in 2018.

Your kids follow your lead
Your kids look to you to set an example. This is their first time in life, and they need to learn from you about how to navigate life, respond to stress, embrace success, and so forth.
Ladies, our kids are watching us. We’re giving them permission to do life and chase their goals because when we do it, they know they can too! (Jenn Drummond)
The way that you live will inevitably influence the way that your kids see and interact with the world. So, live your life well! Teach them to love themselves care for those around them and to pursue their goals by doing those things yourself.
Demonstrate life to your kids, and help them learn how to navigate it.
They’re watching … And so I need to show them how we do things here, because if I don’t, who is? And everyone can relate to that fear. (Jenn Drummond)
Celebrate life and play again!
Life is not just about the grind and the struggle. Remember to play, celebrate your achievements, and be present in the moment instead of constantly looking ahead toward the future, or feeling stuck in the past.
Celebrate along the freakin’ way! We’re not here to be robots and struggle and stress, like, this world is our playground. So play, learn how to tap into that play again, because guess what; someone who’s having fun is a thousand times harder to beat than someone who’s complaining. (Jenn Drummond)
The vibration that you are operating from when you are celebrating life, your achievements – however small – and making the most of your day puts you leagues ahead of people who constantly complain and belittle things.
Even when times are tough, there is so much power that you can tap into when you allow yourself to be gentle and grateful instead of only stressed and aggressive.
Failure is not the end of the road
Failing does not mean you’ve hit the end of the road. The only time that you truly reach the end of something is when you stop working at it.
Failure is just a milestone in your path to success, but failure is not the same thing as quitting.
Sometimes failure is a crucial aspect that can lead specifically to your success – if you keep on going after it happens!
I would’ve never been a part of that story if I didn’t fail the first time … So sometimes we “fail” … so that the universe can use us for more! It doesn’t mean stop, it doesn’t mean quit, it doesn’t mean turn around, it means; Hey, listen. We have more to add to the story, we just don’t get to see all the parts yet. (Jenn Drummond)
Jenn’s advice to moms
Celebrate what you have achieved instead of only looking forward. Own your uniqueness, own your awesomeness, and celebrate your progress so that you don’t burn yourself out by always feeling like there is something more that you have to do.

Meet Veronica Cisneros
Hello, my name is Veronica Cisneros, I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Marriage Coach, Course Creator, Retreat Host, Mother of 3, married for 23 years, host of the Empowered and Unapologetic podcast, and owner of a group private practice called Outside The Norm Counseling.
A lot of couples struggle with setting aside intentional time to connect and communicate. They yearn for meaningful conversations that don’t lead to arguments.
1 month away from divorce, I realized I had to do something different. For years I had compromised myself to meet the needs of my husband and my child, I lost myself and was about to lose my marriage. After years of personal growth and self-reflection, I not only reclaimed my identity, and celebrated 23 years of marriage but also helped hundreds of couples transform their marriage from feeling like roommates to experiencing a deeper love.
I am on a mission to help couples reignite the fire by providing them with the skills to have the relationship they deserve.
