Teach your partner how you want to be celebrated
We both taught each other how we want to be celebrated, and it’s so helpful versus; “I’ve been married to you for 22 years, how do you not know how to celebrate me?” Well, homegirl, it changes every five years and I’m not going to know unless you tell me step-by-step. (Veronica Cisneros)
Most people believe that loving someone will make things “automatic”, “easier”, and “natural”. This is not the case.
Building a strong relationship requires clear communication, honest discussions, and vulnerability in expressing your wants and needs.
You cannot stumble into a great, long-lasting relationship because you both need to work at it for it to be sustainable and genuine.
Skip “always” and “never”
Get rid of the words “always” and “never” from your vocabulary when you argue with your partner because it is not true.
These words may reflect your sense of frustration, but they are low blows and often make the situation worse and create more division between the two of you instead of making it better.
The words “always” and “never” close the door on the opportunity of finding a connection with your partner, or the solution to the problem.
Always and never sets up a trap for us because we position our partner as the enemy. Are they the enemy? No. But the minute we get into the “always” and “never” trap … that’s where I see a lot of couples start to disconnect. (Veronica Cisneros)

Set and respect boundaries
All relationships and marriages are vulnerable to divorce if the connection is not built upon mutual respect and trust.
Build and nurture the friendship that you have with your partner, and then add the love on top.
That love and attraction is what a lot of people think will maintain the relationship, but the reality is that after a while that love and attraction dies down which leads us to how to set and respect boundaries to maintain the connection. (Veronica Cisneros)

Meet Veronica Cisneros
Hello, my name is Veronica Cisneros, I am a licensed marriage and family therapist for over 7 years, a Group Private Practice owner, a Mother of 3, and married for over 20 years. I help housewives transform their marriage, communicate effectively and build confidence. Like you, I also struggled with cutting through the communication barriers. I felt like there was no reason for my husband and me to feel unhappy because we had it all. We just felt disconnected and our conversations were filled with avoidance, kids’ hobbies, and schedules.
I’ve helped plenty of couples in my private practice who struggled with similar issues. With my proven strategies and step-by-step skills, I’ve helped hundreds of women reignite their marriages. I am known for helping women step outside of their comfort zones, I don’t do bandaids, I only teach life-changing healing methods.
